High Country Films consists of a collective of filmmakers producing original content locally in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney.

We are focused on telling raw and authentic films that are deeply rooted in Australian Culture and Community.

Led by Samuel Rees, a director and writer based out of Melbourne, the collective is pushing the limits of what can be achieved in Indie Cinema.
